Installation Note 42659: Oracle WebLogic fails to create the domain SASDomain

DetailsAboutRate It

If you are running the WebLogic Administration Server on one physical machine and other WebLogic managed servers on other physical machines, you must choose the same WebLogic Domain base name during configuration. If you do not choose the same base name, the SAS® Deployment Wizard configuration fails with the following error:

Failed to create domain SASDomain.
This operation is required for WebLogic Application Server configuration. Configuration script: /install/bep_orion/software/SASDeploymentManager/9.3/products/cfgwizard__93345__ prt__xx__sp0__1/weblogic/Config/weblogic_config.xml

To resolve the issue, make sure that your choose the same base name for the WebLogic domain path on all of the middle-tier machines. SASDomain is the default value.

Note: The configuration directory path does not need to be identical.
